A report on the latest condition of Mr. Boroujerdi in Special section for clergy in Evin prison

According to the statement of eyewitnesses, Mr. Boroujerdi lost his physical balance once again and fell down seriously on Nov 17, when he was going down the stairs. He was in coma for some second because of that. Moreover he has fallen down several times because of sudden vertigo and hurt during last two months for example on Oct 10, Oct 12.

Other cases:
- Mr. Boroujerdi is spending difficult days in one of the cells of Special section for clergy in Evin prison.
- There are a lot of problems in the thermal system of special section for clergy as this matter has intensified the pressures on prisoners in that cold weather of the north of Tehran, but relevant authorities have announced the shortage of fuel as the reason of such this condition in reply to the following up of the prisoners.
- Spreading contagious diseases and the lack of drug and specialists is another danger that threatens the prisoners.
- Increase in the number of detainees after presidential election has made most of sections of Evin such as special section for clergy crowded and this matter has intensified Mr. Boroujerdi’s respiratory problem and also made some restrictions in his phone communications too.
- Distributing food with so low quality even expired one among the prisoners has brought a really difficult condition for them.
- According to the report of the most experts and former prisoners; keeping prisoners in very bad condition and depriving them of medical services is used as a means for torturing and putting them under pressure as some of prisoners in Iran have died due to these tortures.

It is necessary to say that Mr. Boroujerdi who has unfrocked himself voluntarily in protesting against the intensifications of general pressures by religious government of Iran, was transferred from solitary confinement in Yazd central prison to Evin prison on Aug 19, 2009 because of the gravity of his physical condition, but no action has been taken to hospitalize him or even do necessary medical examinations yet. He is suffering from various diseases such as heart, eye, tooth, respiratory, bone and kidney problems and Parkinson’s disease too, as the result of being in the bad health and medical condition in solitary confinement and general sections for more than 37 months and now he is so weak and vulnerable.

When a regime extremely becomes weak and feeble, its situation becomes so pitiful, painful and regrettable that resorts to the worst and inhuman methods to make its internal feeling of baseness and ignobility disappeared and wiped.

Basically filtering and the lack of speech freedom in every regime is an obvious evidence for its acceptability and it will be the heritor of an illogical regime by violating indisputable principles of republicanism. There is no doubt that people’s views and their critics about the government is one of the primary definitions of republicanism. That regime that doesn’t allow people to criticize it, undoubtedly will fall down soon or late because of dictatorship.

Ayatollah Boroujerdi as one of the most serious critics of Velayat-e-Faghih, has always called religious dictatorship the roughest sort of dictatorship in history and has sustained the severest tortures and problems through the enemies and opponents of freedom because of his belief in the separation of religion from government.

The authorities of the republic of Velayat-e-Faghih that is in fall slope, have increased their efforts for releasing from legitimacy crisis during last months. They think they can go on their government by spending exorbitant sums of public treasury on filtering, but it’s too late. This time in spite of all obstructive elements, Iranian great nation has united and are ready to remove the regime of Mullahs and victory is near.

An answer to the invitation of Mr. Ban Ki-Moon the UN General Secretary, under the name “interference of the world’s religious leaders in solving the global warming crisis”

A selection of two messages of Ayatollah Boroujerdi in the years 2005-2006 A.D:

In this sensitive and important era that human’s world has been full of unknown and incurable diseases and has confronted with nature’s disfavour and anger and has been affected by disasters whip, let’s think of a remedy and ask the only omnipotent who runs the cosmos excellently to forgive our sins, let’s satisfy great Lord by having mercy on our subordinates and helping poor and miserable people in order to these difficult days be finished as soon as possible and mankind achieve peace and calm.

Let’s call our kind creature our friend and prevent from future threats, by real and practical thanking.

Hasn’t the hole in Ozone layer increased the statistics of skin cancer enormously?

Hasn’t the global warming disturbed the order of the North and the South Pole and made waters over flowing as many coasts are under the water?

Haven’t wars and adventurisms killed the international peace and security?

Hasn’t terror, violence and suicide exposed the life of blameless and innocent people to annihilation?

Hasn’t the deficiency of the plans and solutions of international intelligentsia about removing security, human and natural dangers and their failure in establishing international peace been proved and cleared?

Aren’t all these matters the result of human’s rebel against that Lord who has ordered to justice and recommended quality and acting according to conscience?

O’you who have clear thoughts, aware conscience and pure soul; shouldn’t you think about these worries?

O’you, the owners of church, please put the eternal love for God in people’s heart. O’clergies, please be away from government and politics, speak about the greatness, mercy and forgiveness of God and act to what you say in order to people become much nearer and closer to him.

O’ governors; government is not the end of progress, but is the outset of an endless way that helping all people is its long stairs.

In such this situation every principle and every school gives glad tidings and every leader presents a resolution, but unfortunately days and nights are spending in worry and regret, time is wasting and the rays of hope are extinguished.

O’you who are concern about this situation; O’ you, the great men of nations;

Principles for Establishing Peace

Ayatollah Boroujerdi provided the following principles to establish lasting peace in this world.

1. Those seeking to solve social problems and to establish lasting peace, must be willing to accept criticism and they must be patient.

2. People who live in peace and equality are those who have purified themselves from every kind of conceit and selfishness in the stream of humanity.

3. Peaceful persons are the best capital for the present and the future of mankind.

4. It is impossible to create peace and friendship without reciprocal respect.

5. Reform is a primary aspect of peace. The peace flag will be raised in a country where the population follows reforms in their individual and social life.

6. Justice among governments is the key to world peace. Justice among the Super Powers is as essential as the spring rain. The best guarantee for the survival of a government is justice and equity.

7. Peace, tranquility, and happiness are impossible goals for a people whose government is contaminated by discrimination, betrayal and oppression.

8. Remission (forgiveness) is the most effective way of establishing peace.

9. Establishing peace on earth will assure the survival of Adam and Eve's generation (humankind).

10. A righteous man is one who makes peace and reconciliation among others.

11. Prophets were peacemakers in their own time and making peace among the people was their objective.

12. A society that is peaceful is worthy to serve as a model for other societies in the present and in the future.

13. One who is harsh and spiteful rather than peaceful and tranquil destroys his/her body, spirit, honor and esteem.

14. A prophet’s mission has always been to spread peace and equality among people. The best evidence of pacifism in prophecy is that no prophet was opposed to another, but each prophet confirmed the preceding one and gave glad tidings to the next one. From this we know that it is proper for a prophet’s followers, who are the main part of the world's population, to learn from their leaders to be peaceful instead of breeding fanaticism and enmity.

15. Peace, remission (forgiveness) and philanthropy are my perpetual messages; so many families who were living in devastation found peace and reconciliation and a better situation in life after attending my religious meeting and applying the principles I taught.

16. I believe that to establish peace and international security religious fanaticism based upon outdated and harmful traditions must be abandoned forever.

17. God has created a method of guidance for every nation and no person should ever impose her/his opinion and religion upon others.

18. Contrary to the government clergymen in Iran, I believe in peace and compassion not harshness. I have never gossiped against my malevolent; rather I spoke according to logic and reasoning, even requesting, on numerous occasions, a televised debate with the political Islamic leaders in Iran.

19. Contrary to Iranian government that is opposed to Judaism without any transparent reasons, I respect Jews and accept their religion as a divine religion.

20. Injustice and discrimination are the primary causes of conflict, which prevents peace among nations and peoples.

21. I invite all people in each society to embrace justice and equality and to refuse all forms of fanaticism, discrimination and abuse. I wrote a letter to high ranking officials in the government of Iran and warned them about the increasing oppression and injustice in Iranian society. For example I wrote: “As you know the continuance of each government is dependent upon justice and according to the holy leader’s words: A government that is separate from religion and is just may remain but a government without justice that practices oppression and despotism will be annihilated."

22. There are reports about despotism of Bani Omaye and Bani Abbas though they claim to have a religious government. Unfortunately, the oppression of some of the regime’s authorities who are known as religious persons, has led to destruction of religion, conscience and spirituality in our society and this is an alarm for conscious men to act.

Also, I have expressed in these letters; the right to independent thought and a belief in separation of religion from politics but the officials of the Ministry of Information and of Special Court of Clergy have altered my words to create untrue and false charges.

23. I believe that respect for other religions and for other opinions is necessary for global peace and I have taken special actions to demonstrate this belief throughout the world. For example, in 2001 I sent a congratulatory message to Christians all over the world entitled “2001 Salutation to Christ”

24. I believe publicity and cultural activities are the most effective way to promote a cause. I call upon the entire world to refrain from enmity and fighting. I have always promoted peaceful methods for example:

I organized a nonpolitical religious meeting to allow people to show that they do not wish to be under a political religious regime but want a traditional religion separate from government.

Two weeks before Eid ul-Fitr (an important Islamic feasts), I announced in an interview with Voice of Iran Radio that I'm going to adduce a Eid ul-Fitr prayer on Azadi avenue in Tehran and I invited many followers of the traditional Islamic religion and opponents of political religion. It was estimated that this great unique meeting would be attended by millions of people with this message: “We peacefully deny the authority of the religious government of Iran.” It was primarily for this reason that I was attacked and arrested in order to prevent the occurrence of this meeting.”
